Madani Subsidy Assistance Program (BUDI Madani) for the Agri-Commodity Category
This program was conducted at the Agropolitan Multipurpose Hall, Rantau Manis, Gua Musang, Kelantan. The diesel subsidy is targeted at smallholders in the Agri-Commodity Sector, including those in the Palm Oil, Rubber, Cocoa, Pepper, and Kenaf sectors in Peninsular Malaysia who are registered with agencies under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (KPK).
This implementation aligns with the inclusiveness thrust of the National Agri-Commodity Policy 2021-2030 (DAKN2030), which emphasizes efforts to expand inclusiveness and ensure equitable wealth distribution.
There are three categories of BUDI Madani: BUDI Individual for individual diesel vehicle owners who meet certain eligibility criteria, BUDI Agri-Commodity for registered farmers, breeders, and smallholders, and MySubsidi Diesel for selected public and goods transportation vehicles. Smallholders present at today’s outreach program who have not yet applied for BUDI Agri-Commodity met with KPK officers or agency representatives to submit their applications.
Today’s event was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Johari bin Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities. Also in attendance were chairpersons and director-generals of agencies under KPK.
It is hoped that today’s outreach program will be fully utilized and provide some assistance to the residents and communities of Nenggiri and surrounding areas, as well as offer an opportunity for us and KPK/Agency officers to get to know and engage with the smallholders in the Agri-Commodity Sector here.
