The distribution program for Early School Aid for contributors to the National Kenaf and Tobacco Industry Welfare Fund (TKIKT) LKTN for the state of Pahang was held at the LKTN Rompin Office, Pahang.
This aid program was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Hj. Wan Abd. Rahim Wan Abdullah (Chairman of LKTN). The early school aid was provided to contributors who have children entering Year 1 and Form 1.
A total of 19 contributors with 20 children qualified to receive the aid. Of the 20 children, 8 were in Year 1, receiving RM100 per person, totaling RM800.00, while 12 were in Form 1, receiving RM150 per person, totaling RM1,800.00. The overall aid distribution for the state of Pahang amounted to RM2,600.00.
The objective of this aid is to help ease the financial burden of the contributors, encourage kenaf farmers and those involved in kenaf activities to register with TKIKT, ensure the welfare of TKIKT contributors, and ensure that government aid reaches the targeted groups.
It is hoped that the aid provided will help alleviate the school expenses of TKIKT contributors’ children.
