Kenaf’s R & D Fund is a grant provided by the National Kenaf and Tobacco Board to carry out kenaf-based research and development projects that can contribute to the discovery of new ideas in the kenaf industry. This R&D Fund is open to research agencies, IPTA / IPTS, private companies and other agencies.
The objectives of the Kenaf Research and Development (R&D) Fund are:
• To support research related to kenaf in line with National Commodity Policy to drive kenaf industry growth
• To support research to diversify new products or kenaf based product innovation for commercialization
• To support research for technological development and new discoveries in cultivation, harvesting and processing kenaf.
Application criteria is Malaysia citizens and Bumiputera.
Applications should be made manually by filling out and submit the R & D Fund Application Form that can be downloaded from here.
Application of this R & D Fund should be presented at the Kenaf Research and Development Committee Meeting for approval.
