WORKSHOP ON FORMULATION AND MANUFACTURING OF RUMINANT FEEDS BASED ON KENAF SERIES 3/2024
The National Kenaf and Tobacco Board (LKTN) Training Unit has organized the Kenaf-Based Ruminant Food Formulation and Manufacturing Workshop Series 3/2024 at the Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) UPM Serdang, Selangor.
The purpose of this workshop is to provide exposure to participants on methods of producing kenaf-based livestock feed that can generate current economic income.
Among the modules studied were Introduction to Livestock Feed and Livestock Animals, Livestock Daily Needs, Main Aspects of Livestock Feed, Feed Content, Feed Formulation Factors, Feed Management Stages, Livestock Feed Provision, Feed Provision Calculation Examples, Calculation Practice and participants were also exposed to practical knowledge regarding silage making which can help improve skills in depth based on the formulations learned.
A total of 39 participants were directly involved from various states including LKTN staff and potential kenaf growers. Thank you to everyone who attended.
