KENAF AND TOBACCO INDUSTRY WELFARE FUND (TKIKT)

  1. The Kenaf and Tobacco Industry Welfare Fund (TKIKT) aims to help ease hardships/burdens etc. to members in welfare matters, especially for those who have suffered misfortunes such as accidents, illness, death and loss of income due to plant damage due to natural disasters.
  1. The objective of TKIKT was created to: –

    • Donate to deceased wife/husband/child;
    • Make a contribution to members who have an accident/sickness who receive medical treatment and ward;
    • Make a contribution to the children of members who get an offer to study at the Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree level;
    • Provide assistance to members when they experience natural disasters; or
    • Other aids that are deemed appropriate and can help members.
  1. The qualifications to participate in this TKIKT are:

    1. Malaysian;
    2. Have reached the age of 18;
    3. Registered with LKTN as a kenaf or tobacco grower or registered as a participant for projects under LKTN;
    4. Registered as an employee at a kenaf or tobacco processing center;
    5. Make a contribution of RM10.00 per year to ensure you are eligible to receive TKIKT benefits. The contribution period is valid from January 1 to December 31 every year.
  1. The membership registration period is open from January 1 to December 31 each year.
  1. Members’ welfare contributions and assistance are as follows: –

Death
i. RM500.00 (Members only)
i. RM300.00 (Husband or wife)
iii. RM200.00 (Child)
for a current year.
b)
Medical Benefits
Adnission to Ward :

i. First day is RM50.00
ii.Second day onwards is RM30.00 or a maximum of RM300.00 for members and a maximum of RM200.00 for family members per year.

Outpatient:

i. Actual medical expenses or a maximum of RM300.00 for members and a maximum of RM200.00 for family members in government hospitals.
c)
Contribution of Higher Education
i. Diploma : RM500.00
ii.Degree : RM800.00

“The rate of contribution or aid to a particular application depends on the financial position of TKIKT and the decision of the TKIKT Committee from time to time.

  1. “The claim period for applications by members or families of TKIKT members are as follows:
    • Claims for disaster relief, accidents, and other life difficulties within 30 days;
    • Plant damage within 14 days is subject to special approval from the TKIKT Committee.
